Kaitan Smiley
Associate Head Coach: High School
Coach Smiley has been a part of Norwin Wrestling for almost a decade as a Middle School Assistant, Head Coach, and now serves as the Associate Head Coach for the Varsity Knights. He was a member of the 2005 PIAA State Championship Team and is active with the Varsity team's middle and heavyweights.

A graduate of Slippery Rock University, he currently is a Senior Manager at BrandSafway.

Coach Sidun is a world-class technician. He is founder and leader of one of the most accomplished youth clubs in Pennsylvania. He has coach seemingly endless numbers of PA State Champions, National Team Members, and Fargo All-Americans. You can see his club members competing at the highest levels all over the country and internationally.

Dave serves students as the Welding and Metal Fabrication instructor at the Central Westmoreland Country Career and Technology Center.

I am happy to have the opportunity to give back to a sport that has given me so much. I greatly enjoy helping wrestlers develop their technique and mindset necessary to achieve their goals. Wrestling has been foundational in my life for over 40 years, from youth wrestling as a 6-year-old, to being a member of the 1999 NCAA Division II National Championship Pitt-Johnstown Wrestling Team.
On a personal note, I am happily married to my wife Beth for over 20 years and am an extremely proud father of three wonderful children, who keep us very busy between wrestling and swimming.
